  Veneer  

Veneer is a thin wood sheet of 0,1 to 3 mm of thickness. After the production method measurers become -, peeling and sawing veneer differentiated. Differentiated according to the type of use lock off -, deck -, counter and Unterfurnier.

  Sawing veneer  

A sheet sawing veneer is separated with a block belt saw from the wood block. Veneers from noble woods are sawed.

   
           
  Peeling veneer  

The veneers are manufactured on Rundschaelmaschienen. A wood block is first absorbed and then as in a turning lathe clamped and against the knife turned. The knife peels spiral a veneer volume.

   
           
  Sapwood  

The trunks of all trees contain sapwood. The portion depends on the kind, the age and the growth conditions. With most kinds it is an about 3 to 5 cm broad coat of lightcolored wood, which includes the heartwood. Sapwood is sensitive for mushroom and insect attack.
